General Dates for 2023/2024 Dance Season

These dates apply to just about everyone no matter age or level and may change.

  • Tuesday Sept. 5th – CLASSES BEGIN!
  • September 13 – 26 – Online store for apparel
  • Sunday Sept 17 – 4:45pm – 6:00pm COMPANY AUDITIONS 
  • October 7th – 9th – Thanksgiving Weekend, Classes as usual on Saturday, no classes on Sunday or Monday
  • Monday October 30 th  – Halloween dress up for class days
  • Tuesday, October 31st – Halloween, no classes – studio closed.
  • November 1st – Festival of the Arts entries due to office.
  • November 1 – 15 – Online store for apparel
  • Saturday, November 11th – Remembrance Day, studio closed
  • December 15 – 21 – Parent Observation week
  • Thursday, December 21st – Last day of classes before Christmas break
  • December 22nd – January 7th – Christmas break, studio closed
  • January 6/7, – fall term make up classes only
  • Monday, January 8th – Classes Resume!
  • Monday, February 19th – Louis Riel Day, no regular classes
  • February 19th – 25th Brandon Festival of the Arts, Dance – BSD classes to be determined TBA – Brandon Festival Dance Showcase
  • Sunday March 24th – Last day of classes before Spring Break
  • March 25th – March 31st – Spring Break, (open for exam/competition classes)
  • Monday, April 1st – Regular Classes Resume
  • Monday, May 20th – Victoria Day, studio closed no classes
  • Sunday, May 26th – Recital & Dress Rehearsal at WMCA (tentative)
  • Monday, May 27th – Recital at WMCA (tentative)
  • Tuesday, May 28th – Recital at WMCA (tentative)

Dance Conventions & Competitions  (participation at these are tentative until confirmed with parents)

**These dates apply more for intermediate, senior, company and competitive groups*

  • Centre Stage Dance Challenge – Winnipeg March 8 – 10
  • CNDC National Qualifier –Winnipeg April 17-21 OR May 1 -5
  • View Dance Challenge – Winnipeg Competition May 16 – 19
  • Terpsichore Dance – Winnipeg May 9 – 12 OR Regina April 5 – 7

Information on other conventions & competitions will be made available and/or posted when available to those who qualify
