Dance Attire

Students of the Brandon School of Dance are expected to dress tidily and appropriately for all dance classes.

Ballet Uniform

New pupils may not wish to buy all the uniform at the start, but after a term should do so.  Ballet shoes are a necessity from the beginning.

Girls:

  • levels under Intermediate Foundation   – style 40095
    levels Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate – style SL-02
    levels Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2, Solo Seal – Capezio Style MC 829W Black
  • Ballet pink tights
  • Canvas or leather ballet slippers
  • Hair to be swept back in a tidy bun.

Boys:

  • White tight fitting shirt or leotard for exams and classes
  • fitted black t-shirt for classes
  • Black or grey tights as required for performance and exams
  • black comfortable fitted dance/yoga/sport pants as approved by the teacher
  • White or Black canvas ballet slippers (black for class, white as needed for performance or exams – teacher will advise)

Tots on Tippy Toes (female/male)

  • Ballet Pink Tights/Black sweat type pants
  • pink/black Ballet Slippers
  • Pink long sleeve body suit/white t-shirt

Pre-Ballet and Primary Ballet (female/male)

  • Ballet Pink Tights/Black sweat type pants
  • pink/black Ballet Slippers
  • Pink tank body suit/white t-shirt

Parent and Me

  • Kids: Comfortable clothing eg. t-shirts, leggins, boys sweats, clean indoor running shoes
  • Girls may also wear a body suit and tights with feet in them.
  • Pink ballet slippers may also be worn but are not required
  • Adults: comfortable clothing and indoor running shoes

Storybook, First Steps 1 & 2

Girls:

Girls:

Hip Hop

  • Loose fitting or comfortable clothing to move in
  • non-scuffing sneakers or other suitable footwear

Ballroom

Low-heeled, leather-soled shoes are best, but anything you are comfortable walking in will work. Casual, comfortable clothes will do.

Please note: All required dance apparel is available at Pirouette Dance and Active Wear located at 121 – 10th Street, Brandon. Gently used attire is also available for purchase at the studio.
